Beatitudes Bible Study Part 11: Judge Not

How much clearer can Jesus be to us? Let us not judge others so that we may not be judged ourselves. Have you ever caught yourself scrunching your nose at someone or their situation? I have, not proud of it, but then God gently nudged me like He always does to get me out of the fleshly thought path. He reminds me that I was not in a good place with God, I still have my days, I’m nowhere near perfect, but I’m perfectly IMPERFECT! I’m a work in progress, and I can humbly admit this, as we all should!

Beatitudes Bible Study Part 10: Lilies of the Field

They grow, the don’t move, but yet God supplies their beauty and their means of nutrients. We are given the things that we are in need of, nothing surprises God! If you look back and reflect on your past, you may see very clear evidence of when God supplied your needs and you have no other explanation as to how it was done. Sometimes things may be removed from our life that we don’t want to lose but if that was not taken away, then God would not have been able to give us the blessing that He has prepared for us. When God closes a door, He already has another ready to be opened to you, at the right time.

Why Would One Need To Fast?

Many reasons! Some reasons may include, but are not limited to, sickness, intercession for a loved one, rebuking evil or demonic spirits, humbly being in God’s presence, purifying oneself to ask forgiveness of sins to be realigned, and refocusing towards God.

I feel that fasting is not talked about much in the Christian society, and it’s an important part of a Christian way of life. If Jesus mentions it, it must be important! So let’s dive in….

Continuing with the Beatitudes Series Part 7, Jesus teaches us about the importance of FORGIVENESS.

Unforgiveness is holding a grudge, which, if left unchecked, can lead to sinful behaviors such as hate, revenge, and so on. We are to take all things to God in prayer, and even if we never encounter those individuals again, we can still forgive, to release the bondage and ties of that trespass so it’s no longer bound to us in a negative manner.

After a brief break to observe Christmas, we are now picking up where we left off. The Beatitude Series Part 5: Jesus Teaches How To Pray Matthew 6:1-8, Jesus teaches us how to give and pray.

Why pray if God already knows? It’s simple, God wants us to run to Him! We are the daughters of the Almighty King. He wants nothing but the best for us, and above all, He desires a relationship with us. No matter the size of the need, great or small, God wants us to come to the foot of His throne. God wants to be there for us in the big events of our lives, but He wants to be part of all the small ones, too! After all, we have more common, uneventful days or moments than we do the bigger ones. What better way to have the opportunity to walk with God daily and have Him show you the things He wants you to see, all the little things that can bring a smile to your day?

Beatitudes Series Part 4: Love, Truth & Forgiveness

We are now continuing with Matthew 5:33-48, where Jesus continues to speak about the law and the familiar scriptures that have been known for decades, but Jesus is clarifying His expectations moving forward.

Remember, the law was our schoolmaster - a law that outlined the expectations of living a perfect and pure life in the sight of God. We know that living such a life is impossible, and we need a Savior who can atone for sin once and for all.

Beatitudes part 3: What The Bible Says About Divorce

We are now continuing with Matthew 5:31-32, where Jesus addresses the topic of divorce. Although only two verses, this subject is a weighty one and must be examined from God’s perspective. Let’s also look back to where divorce was first established in the Old Testament.

A topic that may not apply to you personally, but in today’s world, most of us have encountered someone who has experienced divorce. This article is to help us understand what God says about the topic. It’s always best to look for answers in the Bible before we begin exploring man’s perspective or consulting others.

Explaining the Beatitudes starting in the book of Matthew 5. This Sermon on the Mount, as we know it, is the Beatitudes, which are manners of character that we should be aware of, for we are ambassadors to continue in spreading the Gospel Message of Salvation!

Living a life for Christ was not easy at all for the disciples; they were the forerunners, the ones who had to bring a message of Jesus, the tabernacle laws had passed, and the church was being reborn and given new freedom from the bondage of the Old Testament Law.

The message of salvation- one of faith- was not popular with the priests; they were no longer needed and wanted to keep the ways of tradition rather than seek freedom through salvation. If people were free of the traditions of the law, then we would no longer be in need of a mediator, but Jesus Christ.
