In memory of Charlie Kirk, a pioneer of our time to a voice in the wilderness, the one who battled Goliaths daily and boldly walked into the lion’s dens. If you feel led to support his family, you can find the website here: Turning Point USA. (I have no affiliation with this organization; this is just a heartfelt way to help spread love and support towards their family.)
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (3) According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”
His Divine Power
Peter writes this letter to the church during a time when it was most vulnerable and uncertain about how to conduct itself. Many believers had been raised under the law, and this new freedom of worshipping God through Jesus Christ was unfamiliar to them. They were stepping into a journey they had never traveled before in their Christian walk.
Our Road Map
God provides all we ever need through His divine power - everything that pertains unto life and godliness. Those who have had children may jokingly say, “This child didn’t come with a manual.” Oh dear friend, but there IS one! God has provided answers for every situation we may face. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the principalities of this world - and many problems we face stem from deeper, spiritual roots. To overcome those challenges, we must allow God to lead us through those spiritual battles.
Finding Answers
We are not meant to face this world on our own. God knows what we need even before we realize there is a NEED. Let us study and read our life manual - His Word. God has strategically placed His wisdom within Scripture and preserved it so that we may have a guiding hand in every circumstance we face throughout our lives.
Access To Knowledge
God gives us access to knowledge - but first, we must know Him. As we seek God, He reveals Himself to us through fellowship, prayer, worship, and studying His Word.
When we ask our Guide for guidance, He is faithful to provide it - offering us both knowledge and understanding. We need only ask.
Reflection & Journal Prompts
The more knowledge we gain, the better prepared we are to share the truth of God with others.
What areas of your walk with God would you like to grow in?
What Scriptures can you memorize to hide God’s Word in your heart, so that you are better equipped for whatever challenges may come?
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for preserving Your wisdom that we may obtain and gain knowledge of life and the promises You have for us in Your Word. I ask that You help us to understand Your Word on a deeper level each day, so that we may apply the Scripture to our daily walk. We humbly ask for Your guidance to help us be sensitive when You are guiding us. May we become bold in speaking truth to others, help us to be compassionate, but not waver from Your Word. If any visitors to this site do not know You as their Lord and Savior, I ask that You reveal truth, wisdom, and understanding to them. Remove the veil that blinds them from Your knowledge, that they may become Your Sons and Daughters, the Almighty Creator- Heavenly Father. Each day is not promised, but one fate we do know will be eternity. I pray a blessing upon those uniting in prayer, that they may know You and have everlasting life, believe in faith, through Jesus Christ.
We ask this in Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
May God be with you, my friend in Christ!
