Ephesians 4:22-24 Discusses a renewing in spirit and mind…
This is not an instant change; it’s more like setting a firm foundation over time. Becoming more aware of the things you once believed, and now the Holy Spirit guides you to walk in the path of righteousness. Praying, studying God’s Word, and worshiping through song or in the company of other believers are all ways a Christian becomes renewed over time. The foundation for a newborn Christian is critical. To become a walking testimony, we should align our everyday decisions with God.

Having fear of the Lord marks the beginning of true knowledge. We must be careful to discern the wisdom of man and the wisdom of God. Many philosophies and ideologies of this world appear intelligent, but often lead us away from God’s truth.

Christians are to seek counsel from other like-minded Christians. We are to guard our minds from whom we confide in. First, it’s wise to pray and ask God for guidance. Oftentimes, we need to have conversations with other Christians to put our own opinions aside into a fresh perspective when we have a conversation with a trusted confidante. Even then, we should discern if the counsel we recieve is aligned with God’s Word.

I absolutely love this time of year, it’s a time when all the summer hustle and bussle begins to slow down. It seems as if time is beginning to slow, nature is calming down for a winter rest, and the temperatures are cooling. We should not be ashamed of the truth either. We have the responsibility to inform our loved ones of what God’s Word says, even if it is not popular.

For such a time as this…Just as Queen Esther was placed in her role to stand for God’s people, we too are called to shine His light where we are. This week’s reflection honors the legacy of Charlie Kirk while reminding us to take a stand in faith, pray without ceasing, and be a witness in our communities.

God knows everything that has happened, is occurring, and will come. There is nothing that takes God by surprise. If we consider that this world is not a permanent home, then the spiritual world becomes more relevant.
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” - Matthew 6:19-21
Week of August 3rd
Starting our day with worship — whether in song, prayer, or simply acknowledging God — sets the tone for the coming day. A joyful heart and a spirit of praise can shift our perspective and bring peace into our routine. When we give the first part of our day to the Lord, He helps to direct our path.
Week of July 27th
In the days we live in, it often seems like there’s always something new trying to grab our attention-something that stirs up fear, worry, or concern. But no matter what the world throws our way- take comfort in knowing that, no matter our circumstances —good or bad— God is an unshakable foundation.
