Blessed Is The Man
In memory of Charlie Kirk, a pioneer of our time to a voice in the wilderness, the one who battled Goliaths daily and boldly walked into the lion’s dens. If you feel led to support his family, you can find the website here: Turning Point USA. (I have no affiliation with this organization; this is just a heartfelt way to help spread love and support towards their family.)
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the ways of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
We discussed the celebration of Halloween and the origins of where it derived from. If you missed it I hope you go read that, so we are knowledgeable about what celebrations we should take part in. You can find that here.
Not veering too far from the topic of recognizing evil and refraining from being a part of it, we find in the Psalms how the righteous and sinners stand with God.
Blessed Is The Man
The word man applies to mankind; the Scriptures tell us that a righteous man is rewarded, whereas a sinner has their fate as well.
Christians are to seek counsel from other like-minded Christians. We are to guard our minds from whom we confide in.
First, it’s wise to pray and ask God for guidance before seeking counsel from others. Oftentimes, we need to have conversations with other Christians so as to put our own opinions aside into a fresh perspective when we have a conversation with a trusted confidante. Even then, we should discern if the counsel we recieve is aligned with God’s Word.
Meditate Day and Night
Delight in the law of the LORD, and we are to meditate on it day and night. When I read and study the Bible, I find more joy than I would out of some TV show, movie, or scrolling social media.
When I read and make time to open my Bible, my Bible app on my phone, or in my browser, I get excited to know what God will share with me next.
His Word will always stand and never change, but I am the one who changes as I grow as a Christian. I may not be able to see everything that His Word has to offer the first time I read it, but when I keep going back, He will reveal things as if the Words are bold, and when I read over them, God convicts or sends joy to my soul.
Be vigilant and study God’s Word, know what it says, don’t take others’ opinions for what it says, know without a doubt!
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
The Ungodly Are Not So
“…They are like a chaff that the wind driveth away.”
“The carrying away of chaff by the wind is an ordinary scriptural image of the destruction of the wicked and of their powerlessness to resist God's judgments.” - KJV Bible Dictionary
The believer is separate from the unbeliever. The scripture says they will not stand in the judgment, the reason is that as an unbeliever, they are already on the sinners’ path to everlasting damnation. For this reason, we are to share God’s salvation with others, but we are not to stay and continue an argument; we are to share the truth and allow God to do the rest.
We are called to pray for them, to intercede for their behalf, to pray that they are made uncomfortable until they come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
But The Way Of The Unrighteousness Shall Perish
The truth is not easy to hear, be prayerful, gracious, patient, and understanding towards unbelievers. It’s important to get the Gospel message of truth to them, but we must do it in a manner that we put our own opinion aside, for what we speak is not of our own, but of God’s Word.
It’s important to hide God’s Word in our hearts, so that we may not sin against God and that we may be prepared to share the purest form of God’s Word with others.
If you know you will be in a conversation with unbelievers, be prepared, pray for God to guide you, pray for the others, and study His precious Word!
With technology today, we have every opportunity to utilize it to our advantage, to put the bible on your phone, pin the Bible website in your web browser to easily find it, and there are so many apps out there that can push notification reminders and help you stay meditative on God’s Word.

Weekly Challange
Do you know an unbeliever? Friend of a family member that don’t show the fruit of the Lord? I challenge you (and me) to create a prayer list! We don’t know for certain if people are believers or not, but the fruit of their lives will show, and some may be believers, but they are not in fellowship with God.
Let us make a list of people that we are concerned for, it can be of those who may be facing health issues or going through a tough season in their lives.
Let us be Prayer Warriors and not Gossip Divas; we all fall short of the glory of God, even believers! May we be more purposeful with our efforts to lift one another instead of tearing each other down.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this time that we may come together as a community and study Your precious love letter that is preserved for us. Let us take this study and meditate on it, to grow in Your Word daily so we can mature like the tree planted by the rivers of water, so we may bring forth fruit in our season. Help us to be rooted in Your Word, even if just five minutes to take a break from our day and meditate on one verse. Help us to be mindful in praying for others, less gossip and more prayer; for we all fall short of Your expectations. Be with the nations, especially those that are facing prosecution every day, to speak freely of the truth. God, we thank You for being there for us. You are just a prayer away that we may call on You, I ask a blessing upon each one that is praying this prayer, help them to grow stronger each day, and live life alongside You. I ask that You be with those who require healing, financial relief, or those in a trying season. Comfort them and give them a sense of Your hope and security when they seek You. Forgive us of our sins, help us where we have failed You.
We ask this in Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
May God be with you, my friend in Christ!
